Associated lawyers are professional colleagues. They are not partners held out under a firm name. This note explains the standard the chamber uses. It is not a retainer.

What you should be told
- The name of the lawyer who would be instructed.
- Whether that lawyer is acting alone, or whether the chamber is also coordinating.
- That fees and scope will be discussed before work starts, and with the person who is actually doing it.
- If the chamber cannot make a suitable introduction, you should be told that too.
What the bank appointments do not mean
Syed Ammar Haider Tipu Shah Advocate High Court is Legal Advisor to HBL Microfinance Bank and to LOLC Microfinance Bank. A private banking matter is still his practice. It may raise a conflict, which is considered before the instruction is accepted. Naming the banks here is not an invitation to approach them about a personal case, and it is not a statement that they endorse the chamber.
What not to assume from the name
“Law Associates” is the professional name already used for this private office. On this website it is always paired with the words “private legal chamber”. If a document you receive from the office does not say who is instructed, ask before you sign anything.
